A 29-year-old Irvington woman became Hudson County's latest hit-and-run victim when she was struck while trying to the cross Martin Luther King Drive in Jersey City, authorities said in a crash report. The woman was walking westbound at the intersection of MLK Drive and Union Street at 3:44 a.m. Saturday when she was struck by a speeding vehicle, the woman told police at the scene. Responding police officers found the victim on her back in the middle of Martin Luther King Drive, conscious and alert, the crash report said.
